Welcome to REAF CIC

REAF CIC is a growing membership organisation that represents the interests of the fisheries and seafood sector in Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex.
Members and partners include fishers, processors, government, and non-government organisations, and
individuals working together with the common goal of:

Please note that the REAF CIC website is under development. More content, useful links and contacts will be added.

REAF CIC - Progress to date...

REAF CIC - Recommendations...

The period starting in June 2022  to date, has been one of increasing activity for the REAF team as it transitioned into an incorporated Community Interest Company.

REAF CIC Incorporation Date: 7th June 2022.

REAF, of course, encompasses more than just commercial fishers and its memberships will include, Processors, Wholesalers and Retailers. REAF CIC membership also expects to include representatives from aquaculture, macro algae, sea-anglers, port and harbour authorities, local authorities, training establishments and the science community.

In addition, a specific sector engagement plan will build on the work already completed by the REAF Programme Manager. This will include face to face and group meetings and events across the Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex region, and will form the basis of our communications and engagement going forward.

REAF CIC developed a long term strategy for the fishing community.

'REAF Recommendations'

  • 2. Maximise the local economic benefits of fish landings
